Send a note
Use this for a wrong figure, a missing source, or a problem with the site. The form posts to /api/contact/.
On Cloudflare the function checks Turnstile, then writes the note to D1. It does not repeat the note on the result page. No mail is sent. Local dev stores the same fields in data/messages.local.json and skips Turnstile until TURNSTILE_SECRET_KEY is set.
The result page does not repeat the note. Eight posts an hour are accepted from one network, then the function answers 429. A reply address is stored only when you type one.
